Nur Muhammad
Software Engineer
Building production backends in Node.js and Python, plus data and AI pipelines, for schools and hospitals that use them every day.
Nine years running operations, before my first line of code.
My background is unconventional: I took a degree in Arabic Language and Literature while already working, spent nine years in business operations, then moved into IT and on into software engineering. So I read an institution’s requirements from the side of the people who run it.
Every system I build ships with testing, monitoring, security, and documentation. NeoEdu — a school ERP covering academics, student affairs, admissions, and finance — is used by staff every morning. MediCore HMS is in phased pilot at a client hospital. The document intelligence platform I built inside my own department carries 8,677 lines of tests against 6,006 lines of application code. Nine years managing stock, budgets, and team performance taught me ERP business processes from the side of the people who use them.

From the shop floor to software engineering.
The Operator
Nine years in retail and F&B operations, started alongside my degree and worked up from the floor to management. This is where I learned how an organisation actually runs: budgets, people, and fast decisions made on incomplete information.
That foundation is what shapes my code: I build systems knowing exactly which problem needs solving — before the first line is written.
The Technologist
Six years running an entire school's IT infrastructure. It led to designing a school information system that replaced manual processes — later handed over as NeoEdu for the school to operate itself.
This is where coding turned from a hobby into a profession: what I wrote at night was in front of teachers the next morning.
The Builder
Working in public relations at a healthcare institution, and building the internal tooling that automates the reporting my own unit depends on. The same pattern as the school: I build the system for work I am doing myself, so the requirements come from the desk next to mine.
In parallel, systems for clients in education and healthcare: Node.js/Express backends with 18 Swagger-documented REST endpoints, job queues, and security middleware; a layered-architecture HMS mapped to regulatory requirements; and Python pipelines for processing, analysis, and automated reporting.

All certificates are verifiable through IBM's records system. Technical ability is best judged through code and a technical test; these certificates sit alongside that.
